Fire Restrictions Coming Soon |

Fire restrictions will soon come into effect in the Bayswater Fire Brigade area. For those residents in the City of Maroondah, the commencement date is Monday 30 November 2009. For those in Knox, it is Monday 14 December 2009.
The introduction of the Fire Danger Period is a timely reminder for residents to prepare their home and update their bushfire survival plan.

Fire Season Campaign T-Shirt |

Plans by Bayswater Fire Brigade to produce a 2008/9 campaign t-shirt have been canceled.
It has been brought to our attention that there are a number of members who believe that the idea of this t-shirt is inappropriate given the circumstances surrounding Black Saturday.
As a result of this the Bayswater Fire Brigade is very mindful of not wanting to add to any pain or anguish that members may be experiencing and have decided in the best interests of all concerned not to produce these t-shirts.
The Brigade is still committed to support CFA members in need as a result of the Black Saturday fires and will continue to provide assistance in any capacity.
It was not our intent to cause any unnecessary anguish to any member, and if we have we sincerely apologise.
